Crack Chasing Blades
Needed when cutting out cracks before repairing
Crack chasing blades have a Vee shaped segment and are engineered to clean out cracks and imperfections on a wide range of masonry surfaces before repairs can be undertaken.
Crack chaser blades can be used with angle grinders and tuck pointers for cutting green concrete, block, concrete, hard concrete, pavers and stone.
Dry and wet use (depending on the tool).
Crack chasing blades must be used with extreme care and caution.
They are for experienced trades people only.
Always check before use, or if extended operation:
● Blade is securely fastened to spindle.
● Blade guards are in place so cutting is safe
● The operator and operating environment is safe and compliant with all safety regulations and precautions
● Blade flange is not worn or damaged
● Blade runs true, with no vibration
● Wear safety personal protection equipment as per regulations
If you have any doubts, or the blade is damaged in any way, do not use.
Note - If you are cutting dry, always be aware of the danger of breathing in the dust. Ensure a dust extraction system is used with a suitable filter fitted. Use a half face respirator or a PAPR (Powered air purifying respirator). Even if you are cutting wet, the slurry created can dry out and create a hazard for other users - dispose of slurry as per your local regulations. See our dust collection accessories here

Silica dust - when workers cut saw, drill, crush, polish or grind products that contain silica, particles are created, which are one-hundredth of the size of a grain of sand. These can get stuck deep in the lungs.
Ensure precautions to limit exposure to dust are in place.
See the WA government's info on silica dust here.
