Husqvarna, Golz, Clipper and Tyrolit Barrels

Husqvarna make several grades of core barrels.
The black C420 are a reliable laser welded barrel which provide great value for money for non intensive users. 
The Vari Drill range is ideal for general contractors & pro use in all-round applications. Performance is optimal in hard concrete & natural stone, good in medium concrete & brick, and acceptable on green concrete.
The top-of-the-range Diagrip barrels  (D series) have been developed to deliver high speed and outstanding free cutting in very hard concrete and stone, while still providing a long life. The segment shape results in optimised cooling, efficient disposal of slurry, high speed cutting, quick and easy start and less vibrations.
D1210 are optimal on concrete hard, natural stone and natural sandstone
D1420 are optimal on concrete - hard, medium and soft
D1425 are optimal on highly reinforced concrete, reinforced concrete, concrete hard and medium.

We also stock selected Tyrolit core barrels.
All Tyrolit barrels are laser welded, so will not lose a segment unless abused.
The two star barrels (including CDXM barrels) are a less expensive option for reinforced concrete and general purpose drilling.
CDXM suits drills up to 3kW (so suits most hand held machines), for soft to medium hard reinforced concrete
Three star CDL TGD barrels feature TGD Technology (Tyrolit Grain Distribution), and are recommended for the really tough jobs - really hard aggregate or rock-hard concrete with heavy steel, on machines up to 3kW.

Golz is a Germany company. We stock selected concrete barrels in 450mm length, with 1 1/4" UNC fitting.
They are for concrete with light to medium reo and masonry.

We also have some Clipper (or Saint Gorbain) barrels, usually at very good prices.

Note - For operator safety, most manufacturers recommend drilling over 67mm be done with the drill mounted in a stand.
If in doubt, contact us,  the barrel or drill manufacturers.
For bigger diameter barrels, ensure you are using a suitable sized drill and stand to suit the barrel.

Silica dust - when workers cut, saw, crush, drill, grind or polish products that contain silica, particles are created, which are one-hundredth of the size of a grain of sand. These can get  stuck deep in the lungs. 
Ensure precautions to limit exposure to dust are in place.
